Company History

H.I.M. ON CALL’s founders served as HIM vice-president and directors in two metropolitan, acute care hospitals when they recognized the need for a fresh, new approach to outsourced services in HIM. Failed guarantees, unreliable resources and poor communication were commonplace. Our founders spent countless hours simply managing their coding vendors.

With these problems in mind, H.I.M. ON CALL was formed in 1998. Privately held, H.I.M. ON CALL couples a strong sense of customer commitment and corporate responsibility with pride of ownership for a job done right—the first time! In addition to its excellent staff, this is accomplished by incorporating technology. H.I.M. ON CALL’s technology is different and is what sets us apart from all other coding companies. Our technology AVIANCEHealth™, is an integrated, web-based, platform for medical coding and includes our audit management, coding analytics, DNFB management and document imaging management system. Currently the company employs:

  2. Over 100 certified CCS & CPC coders; and on track with the training of 300 New ICD-10 Coders
