Linda García Joins H.I.M. ON CALL as CRRT Lead Assigned to the New York Tri-State Area
New York, New York — July 20, 2009 —Linda Garcia, RHIT joins H.I.M. ON CALL in the capacity of Coding Rapid Response Team (CRRT) Lead.
Linda has been the coding manager of H.I.M. ON CALL’s Puerto Rico office for the past three years. She has relocated to New York and is now responsible for overseeing a team of CRRTs in the NY Tri-State region.
Linda has over thirty years experience in health information management, data quality and coding. She has held various supervisory positions in hospitals, including Director, Associate Director, Assistant Director, and Coding Manager. Linda’s responsibilities as one of our CRRT Leads will be to implement services for our new onsite clients, act as the primary liaison between our onsite clients in her designated areas within the NY Tri-State region, conduct quality reviews of consultant and staff coders assigned to the onsite clients and to provide data quality and coding services as needed.

Sandra Peña Joins H.I.M. ON CALL as the Director of Billing Compliance & Revenue Cycle Services
Allentown, Pennsylvania and Hato Rey, Puerto Rico — July 15, 2009 —Sandra Peña, P.T., M.H.S.A. joins H.I.M. ON CALL as the Director of Billing Compliance & Revenue Cycle Services.
Sandra comes to H.I.M. ON CALL from COSVI, a CMS Medicare Part A Contractor, in San Juan, Puerto Rico where she was the Assistant Vice-President of Program Management. Sandra is a certified hospital administrator and physical therapist with nearly eighteen years experience in the healthcare industry. She has held positions, including Claim Processing Department Director, Professional Relations Department Supervisor and a Professor in Puerto Rico universities. Sandra has a Master’s Degree in Healthcare Services Administration from UPR, San Juan, P.R. and a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy.
Sandra’s expertise in Medicare billing, compliance, rules and protocols encompass both sides of the spectrum – payor and provider. She has an in-depth knowledge of the intricacies of Medicare billing and she has vast experience working with CMS directly. Sandra will lead H.I.M. ON CALL’s revenue cycle initiatives, education and service lines. In addition, Sandra shall assume the role as H.I.M. ON CALL’s corporate compliance officer.
