FY 2018 IPPS Update | August 7, 2017 | 11:00am – 1:00pm

On August 1, 2017 CMS will finalize the proposed changes to the FY 2018 Inpatient Prospective Payment System (IPPS). There are approximately 7,000 code changes as well as multiple reclassifications of DRGs and relative weights (R.W.) One significant change this year will be seen in surgical vs. non-surgical DRGs, which are dependent upon the correct qualifier and surgical approach code assignment. It is strongly recommended to perform both data analytics on your FY 2017 data and a medical record chart audit to verify specificity in your ICD-10 CM and PCS code assignment.

This webinar was designed to provide a closer look at the code changes with examples. The speaker will take a closer look at the impact of these changes on coding and reimbursement. Don’t miss this review of the FY 2018 ICD-10 CM and PCS code changes as well as a detailed look at the DRG changes for 10/1/17!

Who should attend:

HIM Directors and Managers, Coders, Patient Financial Service Administrators, DRG Reviewers and CDI team members

This webinar is only open to professionals who work within healthcare organizations and provider settings at this time.
